Vertical Tension Anodes are an impressed current retrofit anode system generally used for retrofitting of offshore CP systems.
Description:
This vertical tension anode string is an anode array that comprises a series of MMO tubular anodes secured into the perforated PVC casing pipe and chained onto an electrical cable.
The terminal anode (the last anode on a string assembly) has a metal loop for attaching a weight.
It is a cost-effective option used in the impressed current cathodic protection for the life extension of offshore or marine structures. It can be installed without divers or ROV equipment.
